There are many benefits to recycling your old handset, the first being that you will be paid cash for it, and also prevent it from polluting the environment in a landfill. Your old phone will be sent to a third world country, or be broken down and all its components re-used to manufacture new mobiles, which decreases manufacturing costs and consumer prices.

Skyphones is one of the top handset recycling firms, and specialises in new mobiles in addition to second-hand ones. It's estimated that there are 50 million mobile subscribers in the United Kingdom, and most of them receive a new handset each year from their provider. With technology advancing at such a terrific rate, many people would rather keep their old handset than try to figure out all the extra bells and whistles of a new one.

Skyphones is the best place to sell your excess upgrade, because it will offer you the best price for it. You can be paid directly via BACS or cheque within 48 hours, or claim your money immediately from your nearest Post Office. If you have 10 or more mobiles to sell, Skyphones will send a courier to collect them, free of charge.

One star is extremely generous, but I had to rate them. Don't touch this company with a barge pole!! They take your phone and don't pay you. They are deceiving people and if you want them to steal your phone then carry on and us them. I would recommend you use a company that actually pay up!!!

Why Should You Recycle Your Phone?

Old mobile phones should be recycled

Recycling your old phone means you can gain return on it. Materials that are potentially hazardous to the environment are not left to decompose and pollute, but instead can be broken up and find new life. Saving energy, chemicals and waste by lessening extraction and refinement for new products, and 100% of materials in old phones can be used in new goods. This helps to keep costs down to the manufacturer and the consumer, creating a cycle of best practice.
